ENGINE & FLUIDS
- Change engine oil filter
- Change engine oil
- Check for oil and fuel leaks
- Check all coolant hoses for leaks (look for white, pink or green residue)
- Check all belts (look for cracks and fraying)
- Check all intake hoses and pipes (ensure hose clamps are tight)
- Check all engine mounts (inspect for movement or cracks)
- Check radiator mounts (top/lower) for movement or cracks
- Check exhaust system (look for soot marks or leaks)
TRANSMISSION & DIFFERENTIAL
- Check transmission and diff oil levels
- Inspect transmission and diff for leaks
- Check transmission, diff and engine wiring (no loose or exposed wires)
BATTERY & ELECTRICAL
- Clean and check batteries
- Perform battery load test
- Check dash gauges, warning buzzers and lights
- Check all lights, horn, A/C and wipers (including side markers)
DRIVELINE & CLUTCH
- Grease and check driveline (unis, kingpins, brakes)
- Check clutch adjustment and linkages (no excessive movement, within spec)
STEERING & SUSPENSION
- Check and grease steering uni joints and spline (look for freeplay)
- Check all steering ball joints (inspect for in/out movement)
- Check front and rear U-bolts (nuts tight, no cracks)
- Check torque rod bushes and mounts (no cracks, no play)
- Check cross members and bolts (no cracks, no missing/loose bolts)
- Check chassis for cracks
- Check cab mount and suspension (no cracks, no excessive movement, cab jack not leaking)
- Check front and rear shock absorbers (no oil leaks, mounts secure)
BRAKES & AIR SYSTEM
- Check brake lining wear (ensure adequate life left)
- Check ‘S’ cams and adjusters (ensure not seized)
- Inspect air lines (no leaks or damage)
- Adjust brakes as needed
- Check air bags (no leaks)
- Check for air leaks (brakes on and off test)
- Check operation of service brakes
- Check operation of park brakes
FUEL & FILTRATION
- Change fuel filter
- Change secondary fuel filter
- Check fuel tank breathers (ensure not blocked with gravel/dirt)
HYDRAULICS
- Check hydraulic hoses and oil level (ensure no PTO or hose clamp leaks)
TURN TABLE / TRAILER CONNECTION
- Check locking pin and mechanism on turntable or ball race
BODY & COMPLIANCE
- Check mudguards, flaps and rear signs (nothing missing, cracked or damaged)
