You’re running a load at night.
A few hours in, you pull up to stretch your legs and do a quick walk-around — like you always do.
When you get to the rear axle on the driver’s side, something doesn’t feel right.
The hub is hot.
Hotter than it should be.
It’s nearly due for a service anyway, so first thing in the morning you give us a call and book it in.
Better to be safe than sorry.
During the service inspection, we check the wheel bearings — and straight away we find play in the rear axle bearings.
Once we pull them out, it’s clear why.
They’re worn, notchy, and right on the edge of failure.
We service the truck, replace the rear wheel bearings, and make sure everything is right before it leaves.
That night, you’re back out on the road, heading off for another load — problem sorted before it turned into a breakdown.
