Basic Truck Maintenance Workshop
Join us for a practical, 3-hour hands-on session to build your truck knowledge and confidence around basic maintenance. Ideal for drivers, owner-drivers, and small fleet operators who want to understand what to check and how to spot common issues before they become expensive problems.
No jargon, no theory overload — just real-world skills you can actually use.
What you’ll learn:
- How to tilt the cab and get underneath safely
- Checking and topping up oils and fluids
- Inspecting wheel bearings, king pin play, and turntable play
- Finding and repairing air leaks
- Telling urgent problems apart from issues that can wait
- What to do if you run out of fuel
How the day works:
Bring your own vehicle and we’ll get you checked in. We provide overalls and all the tools, so you can get properly hands-on. We’ll walk around the trucks inside and out, get them up on the hoists so you can see underneath for yourself, and stop for a quick snack partway through.

Testimonials
“I felt very comfortable, especially being in a nice small group of like-minded women all here for the same reason. My favourite thing was getting the confidence to open up the bonnet, have a look inside, and actually know what’s what — which fluid goes where, the levels, just the basics.”
— Maddie, Her Car Confidence Workshop
“I felt empowered. I’ve learnt so much, and I didn’t feel like any of the questions I asked were silly — Jade and Scott were so patient with us. My favourite thing was changing a tyre!”
— Laura, Her Car Confidence Workshop
“It made me feel like I could actually handle my car — when no one else is around, and when people are around too. I was a little nervous coming in, but that settled really quickly once we got started. My favourite thing, other than the cheese and crackers, was handling the battery — not being afraid of the sparks and having the confidence to know what it is and how to change it.”
— Dee, Her Car Confidence Workshop
