A customer came in with a frustrating issue — their engine brake wasn’t working properly. Sometimes it wouldn’t come on, other times it would stick, making driving unpredictable.

At first glance, nothing looked too unusual. But after a closer inspection, we spotted the problem.

Tucked just behind the engine brake was a bolt that had jammed in place, stopping the mechanism from opening and closing the way it should. On top of that, there was a hole in the engine brake hose — meaning no back pressure could reach the system. Without that pressure, the engine brake simply couldn’t engage properly.

Once we freed up the bolt and replaced the damaged hose, the system came back to life. Smooth, reliable, and ready to do its job.

Now the driver’s back on the road with an engine brake that works exactly as it should — no more sticking, no more guesswork, just confidence behind the wheel.
