The truck isn’t overheating.

If anything… it’s running too cool.

No alarms.
No major symptoms.
Just something not quite right.

But then another problem shows up.

The DPF won’t do a burn.

It keeps trying… and failing.

We bring it in and check the thermostats.

One is working.
One is stuck open.

That means the engine can’t get up to proper temperature.

And without heat, the DPF can’t regenerate.

What looks like a small issue turns into a bigger one.

We replace the thermostat, get the engine back to proper temp — and the DPF does exactly what it should.
