A Snapped Hose and a Whole Lot of Coolant
One radiator fault nearly turned into a full-blown disaster.
A customer called us in a panic — their dash had lit up with a red fault code and a loud warning to stop immediately.
Those alerts are never good… and this one was right on the money.
The truck rolled into Webbie’s Mechanical trailing a puddle of coolant. We tilted the cab and didn’t have to look far — the molded return hose on the radiator had snapped clean off.
Coolant was everywhere and the radiator was just about bone dry. Not ideal and a sure fire way to cook the block.
Because it was a plastic radiator, there was no patching it. This one was cactus.
But when time matters, so do we.
We stripped the old radiator out straight away, sourced a new one on the spot, and had it fitted, tested, and sealed back up that same day.
Truck went out full of coolant, fault-free, and ready to get back to work.
