You pop an intercooler pipe off and notice oil inside.
You stop for a second and think… is that normal?

Sometimes a light oil mist can be expected — but oil pooling in your intercooler pipes is a warning sign.
More often than not, it means your turbo is bypassing oil.

That usually points to a failing turbo oil seal.
And when that seal lets go completely, things can go bad fast.

A failed turbo seal can feed oil straight into the engine.
That can cause a runaway engine, engine seizure, or in the worst cases, a fire that can take the whole truck with it.

This is one of those issues where waiting costs more than fixing it early.
If you see oil where it shouldn’t be, get it checked and sorted before it’s too late.
