Own a small fleet? Tired of the 2am phone calls?

If you own a small fleet of trucks and you’re worried about your drivers running late nights or early mornings — or you’re the one whose phone rings at 2am when something goes wrong — this course is for you.

We’ve just released our first ever basic truck maintenance course at Webbie’s Mechanical. It’s a one-day workshop where your drivers come to us, and we teach them the basics on your trucks.

Why this matters

A confident driver spots a small problem before it becomes a big one. A confident driver doesn’t ring the boss at 2am when the truck won’t bleed itself. A confident driver knows what’s normal and what isn’t — and that knowledge alone saves a fleet owner thousands a year in downtime, towing, and middle-of-the-night repair bills.

What your drivers will learn

Pre-start checks — what to look at before they turn the key. Fluid checks — oil and coolant, where they live and how to read them. Leak spotting — what fresh oil and fresh coolant look like, and where they come from.

Hands-on workshop time on real trucks: how to check play in turntable bushes, how to tilt a cab properly, how to bleed the fuel system if they run out (because it happens, and we’ve talked plenty of drivers through it on the phone in the early hours).

We’ll bring the trucks in and put them up on the hoist. We’ll show your drivers how to check driveline wear, how to check kingpin wear, how to inspect a radiator — so they know the truck is safe, you know they know the truck is safe, and the truck stays on the road earning.

How the day runs

Drivers arrive in the morning, get welcomed into the workshop, and we work through the course on real vehicles for the day. It’s a done-with-you format — not a slideshow. They put hands on, do the checks themselves, and walk out confident.
